Some Witty Tagline Goes Here
There is a known bug in Solaris 2.6 where a system will not write out a core file even though savecore is enabled. This occurs on systems with 2GB (4194272 blocks) or larger swap partitions. Running savecore manually causes it to fail with the error "magic number mismatch". This problem has been corrected with patch 107490-01. It should be noted that at the time this document was written, this patch was not part of the 2.6 Recommended patch cluster. Installing he patch is safe even on a system with less than 2GB swap partition.
